A highly influential board on system change

Between 2019-2023, CHAA has been a significant influencer and advisor on continuing care transformation. Our board has been instrumental in advocating for:

  • The 2019-20 provincial legislative and regulatory review as the foundation for system change.

  • The 2021 Facility-Based Continuing Care Review and its exhaustive examination of the system.

  • A new continuing Care Act for Alberta (2022).

  • New regulations to govern the operational and performance standards for the sector (2022-23).

  • Clinical and operational guidelines related to pandemic management (2020-22). Read more

Board of directors

Our association is led by a board of directors that is highly values-led and mission-focused. We’re an inclusive board: every member organization – whether a $2M or $500M organization – is given a seat at the board table and an equal opportunity to influence our policy and advocacy work.
